I could stock a pet cemetery! I've hit many animals, both in my personal vehicle and in my semi. Before the thumbs-down brigade hits, it's either the animal's life, or the lives and safety of myself and everyone else on the road. I can't stop or manuever an 80,000 pound truck like you can your Corolla.

Yes, twice. I was a salesman and making my rounds when I hit a pheasant. Splattered all over the windshield and no rag in the car to wipe all the blood off so I could see where I was going.

A few weeks later I was driving down the same road and in almost the same place and a face flew inside my windon just missing my head. If it had hit my head it would probably have killed me. There were feathers all over the inside of the car. As I was preparing to clean out the car, there were still feathers inside the car. Cleaning up feathers isn't a very easy job. And the phesants were so badly damaged there wasn't enough to eat.

I have only been driving for 2 yrs. on a permit, so i have not hit anything, but I have been hit by a deer, in fact if jumped off a hill side onto the front of my car by mistake. Try telling that to the insurance company.

Yes, I hit a little puppy that ran off the hill right in front of my car once. I tried to stop but still hit the little guy. The puppy lived though. Thank goodness. I was so upset about it.

Oh, I just remembered I ran over an opossum one night crossing the highway. He was right in the middle of the road I tried to slow down cause I was going so fast I couldn't stop but he just kept moving as slow as possible and I ran right over him. I felt bad about it too.

I hit a squirrel once and felt kind of bad. It couldn't decide which way to go as I was coming closer. I thought it made it out of the way but when I kept going I felt a big bump. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw it dead in the road.

I've hit a Jackrabbit, a couple common rabbits, a couple raccoons, a skunk, a few squirrels, a possum, an owl, and almost hit a deer, an elk, and a cougar. If I'm able to, I'll usually go back and make sure they weren't suffering.

Yes, my dad and I were going along a highway in the country (a not very popular one with farms around). We were going 72 mph, and a cat suddenly jumped in front of us, so there was no way to stop. I swear that I felt the bump and the "crunch." I, a cat lover, felt horrible. However, my dad felt bad for the cat, but not as much as me, as he dislikes cats.

No, but I have actually hit a 4 year old boy .. came out between two trucks chasing after the ice cream man who happened to be accross the street. He turned out to be just fine.. thank God.

YES!!! I swerved to miss a cat and hit the dog that was chasing it. I followed the poor thing home. I had broken its leg. The owners were more worried about me than him because I was so upset.
