John McGraw has 2763, the 2nd most wins all-time, behind Connie Mack's 3731. McGraw managed the New York Giants, and had the unenviable task of going up against the NY Yankees in their prime, yet managed to win the World Series in both 1920 and 1921. His teams finished first 10 times and second 10 times.
Among the current crop, Mike Scioscia, has one WS ring, finished first 3 times and second 2 times in 8 years... and is on his way to another AL West division title this season.

Albert Schoendienst. Hall of Fame Second Baseman. Won World Series Titles as a player, coach and manager. Still suits up 65 years after his first game! #2 is still Number 1.

Billy Martin - without question! He was the 'McGiver' of baseball. He could manufacture a run out of 6 grains of sand, and an old chewing gum wrapper.

Pete Rose... he was so good, he would even guarantee victory. People would say that his team was never going to beat St. Louis, and he would reply "Wanna Bet?"
