Happiness is the stronger of the two, because we can cry at both points, but with sadness you can associate death or suicide because a lot of it can cause it, but happiness is life and since most people are alive Happiness gets the cake.

No when I get sad I feel like the world is crashing down on me but when I'm happy it's like everything else just fade away. Happiness overpower all sorrow.
