Here's a question I've wondered about for years - ladies,?

Question

do you prefer to have long or short hair? Do you prefer to wear it up, or down?

I have shoulder length hair and when I'm in the air conditioning I wear it down. But since I live in Florida where it's still 85 degrees at 10pm, I wear my hair in a pony tail when I go outside for any lenth of time.

and at the moment, I prefer to wear it up.

I like how my hair looks when its long, but its a pain. it get tangled easily, it whips me in the face when its windy, sometime I even choke on it (that sounds bad, lol). It bed I end up laying on it, or somebody else will lay on it... and I like to wear it up because I don't like it touching my face or the nap of my neck. But when its long enough it feels soooo nice on my back ;-)

When its shortshort, I get criticized for cutting it too short by women older than me, like "Only OLD women have their hair short!" and "Long hair is a sign of youth and beauty!" (I'm 26, btw)and other comments. Also, I think I look like a boy with short hair, which isn't bad, but I'm not a boy :-p Also when its short, I have to cut it frequently because it grows so fast. That's expensive and I don't trust to cut it myself (although I have before and prolly will in the future). *ETA* I like short because I don't have to do anything to it.

So for me, there is no happy place :-/

I have had short hair in past. Now I have long hair. It depend on if you allow yourself to be influneced by your friends, relegious beilefs and at time family pressure. On your customs of dress and wanting to fit it with soicety normal. As to wearing it up is seen in some countries as submissive to wear it down in a way is to be more sexual. It all depends on who you are as person who you think and what you want. Also sometimes what your job wants.

Long and down. I hate my hair short or up...both make my face look too round.

I like my hair below the shoulders on me personally, and I like to wear it down...but it's fun to play around with diff hair styles.

i enjoy short hair, but only because it's easier to manage.
and i have to wear it down because it's too short to wear up.

i had long hair for 17 years.
and now i LOVE it short.

My hair is down to my butt and I wear it down the majority of the time.
