Hi, I am a creative (typical Aries) person who tends to come up with a lot of ideas and start a lot of projects (mainly writing projects), but then I get bored and move on to the next project before I've finished the previous one. The only way I have ever finished anything was when a grade or deadline someone else set was involved, but I can't be in school for the rest of my life. I've thought about writing a plan, but I'm so lazy I don't think I'd ever start it much less finish it. What I'd like you to tell me is how you developed discipline/focus or overcome distractions/laziness and met your goals. Good and detailed ideas only-none of that "just do it!" crap or any other cliches. Thanks!

well....consider the words of Robert Heinlein, "...there is no such thing as a free lunch..." in other words, you get what you pay for. To develop discipline, you must have a goal that really and truly matters to you, more than anything in the world. When you set your goal, and it is truly important to you, you will find that the discipline to achieve it will come. You cannot just drift thru life waiting for something to catch your eye, waiting for an idea to stir your fancy...you have to actively search for a goal that is worth spending your life to achieve, and then pursue it. The discipline to achieve comes from the worthiness in your eyes to attain the goal.

Well you said you finish things that have deadlines or grades...so maybe you should set your own deadlines or if you dont care about meeting your own deadlines if you have a really good friend or boyfriend make them set deadlines for you. Like me and my homegirl both wanted to go to college and anytime one of us would sidetrack off we would tell each other something. You can also try rewarding yourself with something that you want/like when you finish. Set your eyes on something you want and tell yourself I will not get it until I finish my project. And follow it. Then you will finish and not feel bad about buying yourself something because you earned it like how you earned a good grade. I hope this does help you and isn't crap or any other cliche! Good luck in your writing!

Start one project. In no time your imaginative Aries will rise with a new project. Write it down to remember, but don't do it now. Finish the first one first. Stick to it.

imagine urself sitting motionless on the top of eiffiel tower TOTALLY NAKED & imagine how much discipline that would require.everything else will look like child's play compared to that.try it for a few times, if it still doesn,t solve ur problem, apply for a french visa ASAP and see for your self.& Finally "Just Do It" even if it feels like crap.
