From what I understand, he doesn't want to be in the WWE hall of fame. He has been very critically of how Vince McMahon has run the WWE for years, and he wants very little to do with the WWE.

He was invited but didn't accept, he didn't like the direction WWE was going. He claims wrestling is a family institution and watching how WWE sells violence and sex, he couldn't condone it by being accepted into the WWE hall-of-fame.
