is it not properly adjusted? for a day or two some foam was produced but now it just fizzes right below the collection cup. can u help me please?

It may not be adjusted properly. Try slowing the water flow and increasing the aeration to see if more foam reaces the collection cup.

Another possibility is that your salinity is off (try keeping it around 1.024-1.026) - the salinity changes the specific gravity of the water, and this in turn changes the size of the bubbles - the smaller the bubbles the more organic material that should be removed.

Of course, this is all assuming that you have enough organic wastes in the tank that any foam will be produced at this point. If your tank is only a month old, and all you have is live rock or sand, without any fish, you may not have enough material that NEEDS to be removed.

can u turn the air flow down if u cant try coveringing it up with some projectiles like a toy crab or whatever u have in there or rocks i doubt rock will do it but try
