All of the other answers are correct. But to explain how they got the right answer so you can do it next time is pretty simple. When you divide 60 by 1.5 that is your 60km/1.5hr when you divide by 1.5 you get 40 and 1 which equals out to be 40km/1hr. Hope that clears it up for next time. =) Have a great day!

Since speed is distance divided by time:

60 km / 1.5 hrs

All you need to do now is simplify the fraction:

40 km/hr

You can do this in your head.
The time is 3 half-hours, divide into distance.
20 km in half an hour, so 40 in one hour.
