Need help Identifying the "leading" man!?

Can anyone tell me who the leading man was who played in the old movie version of "On The Beach", opposite Ava Gardner and Fred Astaire? .... Thanks in advance!

It was Gregory Peck. Not a bad movie, by the way ... book was quite interesting comment on the cold-war nuclear malaise of the early '60's.
