If you put on a diving suit on with the air tank and everything, then got swallowed by a whale, would you still be alive?

I'm sorry, but unless you are as small as krill, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT you will get eaten by a whale. They filter things out with their...mouth...things...[I forgot what they call their giant filter things in their mouth...]
If you were to crawl in a whale's mouth however, I'm sure the stomach acid would eat you alive and you would slowly die unless you crawl out. :\

I remember some years ago reading an account of a whaler who was apparently swallowed by a whale went he went overboard during the chase and harpooning, and was a short while later unexpectedly retrieved from the whale's stomach when it was cut up. I can't honestly say whether it was true or not, but it sounded plausible. According to the account, he was not in great shape when extracted - skin was reddened like sunburn and hair was bleached; didn't do much for him psychologically, either, as I recall. Take this for what it's worth!

Baleen whales do not have a throat opening big enough to allow a human to get through. They filter krill and plankton by taking a large amount of water into their mouths and pushing it through their baleen plates with their tongues (sort of like spitting through your teeth). A human could not be swallowed by a baleen whale.
The largest Toothed whale is the sperm whale. I know they can eat rather large food (they prefer giant squid), but I don't think their throats are large enough for a human. Next down are orcas and they aren't going to swallow you whole.
No one has been eaten by a whale. Ever. Not even pinochio.

there was supposed to have been a whaler, many years ago, who was swallowed by a whale. the whale was killed and hauled up right away. the guy lost his hair, his skin faded, but he was alive. true or not, i have no idea. theres one type of whale which has very small throat, and cant swallow anything large......balleen whales?

the story as i know is a myth no I don't think you could survive long but a wale can't swallow you ether because the throats are to small.

I'd guess that they stomach acid would get you pretty quick.
