Earlier I had two Gouramis in my tank, a male Opaline and a female 3 spot Gourami. today i added 2 female Gouramis, a Platinum and a Gold Gourami. My female 3 spot felt jealous that the male wasn't paying any attention to him so she started to dance around the male and she hit her head on a rock. Now She has a large patch of missing scales on her head. I think she damaged her brain because occasionally she spins in circles. The other females don't bother her, is there anything I can do to help the 3 spot Gourami heal or is she going to be handicapped for the rest of her life? I already treated the tank with Medicine to fight any infections. the temp, nitrate and ph levels are fine.

Plz don't give me info about Gouramis, I know how to differentiate male and female by their fins and girth and behavior etc. Or that I should separate the fish because they are not aggressive towards each other. I want to know if I can help the 3 spot in any way, or if it will heal on its own. plz help!

Chances are that will heal on its own. Watch for bacteria growth around the wound. You may want to add a little Melafix to the water to aid the healing process.

It really sounds like a minor injury that will heal on it's own. What you will need to watch for is the fish weakening and becoming a target for the other fish in the tank, or for any signs of fungus around the injury.

If I can help more feel free to email me.
