Not every company does a background check, but many do.
At this time, your felony record would show up because:

The process of sealing your
juvenile record is something you have to start.
Even though the juvenile justice system recognizes
that you should not have to carry around your mistakes
from childhood with you for the rest of your lives, there
is no system set up to automatically seal the record for you.

The court’s reasons for allowing you to your seal
record is that the record reflect mistakes from your
childhood; things that you did because you were
immature and didn’t know better. Unfortunately,
sometimes the court thinks an offense was so
serious or violent that it was “adult-like” and suggests
to the court that you did know better. In these situations,
the court may not be willing to seal it.

You can get your juvenile record sealed in Ohio, if:
□ You are at least 18 years old; or 2 years or more have
passed since you completed probation for the offense
□ You have successfully completed probation.
□ You have been off probation for more than six months.
□ You paid all fines, fees, or restitution for the case.
□ No civil (non-criminal) cases that involve your charge
are still open in court.
□ You were not charged with a “serious violent felony”
under Ohio Revised Code §707(b)i.
□ You were not charged with a “strikeable” offense if
you were over age 16

Good luck on your job search. Remember that some companies
a) Do not do a background check, and
b) Some companies will hire a felon.

A case worker with the Ohio EDD (unemployment office) will have a list of companies that might hire you.

Juvenile records are sealed meaning they will not show up on a background check. As long as you were not tried as an adult, you should be okay.
