We all stand out in some way. We are all unique. Some people are afraid to shine. Afraid to share their gifts with the world. Some people don't want to "stand out" they prefer to "blend in." We may have to conform to some degree in some instances, but never lose who you are. Never sacrifice your individuality.

Personally I'm a songwriter & an artist. That's how I hope to stand out. No one creates music or paintings quite like mine. I just have to get my work out there a little more than I have. Thank you for the reminder!

We each have something different to contribute to the world. Follow your own heart's song. Live with passion. Do what your soul yearns for and share it with the world...

I stand out in my existence - by volunteering my time to other people. I work in museums and historic sites on weekends, both with kids and adults. I think just be being there, you make a difference.

I try to teach and write whenever I can, so that somehow I leave a legacy behind. I don't have children, so the books, webpages, and journals I write are the only way that I can pass anything on to the next generation, even if it's just within my own family. I also try to write down the stories of my parents and grandparents so that THEY stand out in their existence.....

I stand out by disregarding people's expectations of me and being myself instead. People may not like it, but why should I care if I only have this one life to live like this? I can deal with most of the consequences of this choice that I have made. It's okay if I am condemned because they don't understand.

Hi Rena, My goal is to not stand out. It's true, I am a little different, but I concentrate on similarities instead of differences. It does not mean I don't accept myself or that I don't have talents, I do. I just don't want to draw attention to myself. Sometimes I succeed so well at not standing out that you can't see me.

I stand out in my existence because it is only me who value philosophy being an important aspect in life. I could not imagine myself or any other person who does not give importance to philiosophy. We owe ourselves to philosophy because it is the souolf of wisdom. This is one major aspect in life which i stand out among the rest which i believe to. That is itself is a very big differnce for one to stand out of your existence.

My holding back is the calm contrast of a workman's afternoon drowse to Paganini's No.2, exploding compositionally, as it were, that very evening in a Vienna concert hall. I do not; I do. What you will.

I always feel that this should be judged, by other people, rather than by me.
This being based on the premise, that self-praise is not much of a recommendation.
