First, say "I will respect everyone for who they are." Out loud without looking at the piece of paper. Say this a few times until you have it down. Then, add the next line. Say them both together. So, you will say line one, then lines one and two, then lines one, two and three, and so on and so forth. After about halfway through, make sure you can say the whole thing thus far without looking at the paper at all. If there's one specific spot you keep messing up on, say that line 7 times, then continue. It will take a little while, but it's the only way to truly memorize it. Good luck!

Btw: don't try any quick memorization methods; they're like fad dieting. Once, on the day before no-script day in a play I was in, I didn't know my lines at all, so I recorded them on my computer. I then downloaded the lines onto my iPod and played them while I was sleeping. DIDN'T WORK! Just stick to it and do it the old-fashioned way. You'll be so proud of yourself when everyone's blanking out around you and you've got it down pat.

First start by trying to memorize two or three lines at a time. Then when you feel you have it down real good write it down then go back and check it. You may have to do it several times.

From each sentence take the IMPORTANT and IDENTIFYING word. So:
for #1. RESPECT
#2 ACKNOWLEDGE
#3. DONATE
#4. DRAMA CLUB..
see. . .?? And on and on.

Now for all the one word things, make a sentence that reminds you of the first letter of that key word.

It could be "Roger Anderson Donates Donuts (Cream) . . . ."
and each capital letter reminds you of the word ion the sentence.

Got it?

Hope this helps.
