Depends on what you mean by Authentic. If it is the opposite of Fake; I have met plenty of both. If I catch your idea, I use the label Realized Being. I don't know how you separate meetings from events.

As to realized beings I have met two, perhaps three. This in itself is unusual. Most people may go a life time without meeting or recognizing such persons.

All I can say is these meetings made me realize that the human essence is basically untapped; and measurements we apply to ourselves and others mostly worthless.

Yes I have. She was unlike anyone you will ever meet. No one was luke warm on meeting her, they either loved her or hated her immediately. She was my mentor, substitute mother, best friend all in one. She could do some things that if I had not seen it probably would not believe. She taught me about Life, Love & Spirituality. I often wondered why I was blessed with her, many were much more ready & able, but I am in gratitude that I did. She is gone now but is really still with me, I think she always will be.

Never - the concept of authenticity is part of a romantic meta-physics claiming there is an "essential truth" to human nature that we are estranged from - through sin, wage labor, patriarchy, etc. and we have to reclaim that essential nature from the alienating power.

Its a nice thought, but has no basis in history. I blame Plato for this nonsense.

Authentic? There are no things outside of nature, of existences totality. Perhaps you meant 'honest', or did you mean 'real'. Hitler was authentic, Gandhi was authentic, the Boston strangler was authentic, .... the totality is nature, natural and infinitely possible.
