Let's hope that enrollment is still open and you will get some boys in that class. Most likely, you will "rotate", meaning change partners several times during the class. Which means Sometimes you will be dancing with imaginary partner. It is hard to grasp both Leaders and Followers parts at the same time, so you most likely won't be dancing girl&girl if everyone is a complete beginner.
However, if you have significant shortrage of leaders, some girls might decide to learn leader's role instead of the follower's. This is usually done by those who is familiar with the followers part to some degree, but they want to know both parts.
No, it's not a dumb question.
Maybe suggest it to a boy you know to take the same class?

If there are no boys at all, you'll have a lot of girl leaders, which isn't a bad thing. Learning both the leader's and the follower's part is something instructors do routinely, and it helps students understand the concepts better, as well.
If's normal for there to be more girls than boys, and if the ratio isn't too far off, say 2:1, then you can expect a lot of turn-taking. It's routine to learn new steps, by the way, by first doing them on your own, with an imaginary partner, and then doing them with a partner.
