Are there any other hurricanes in the making out there? Everyone is focused on Hurricane Dean. I'm just curious.

There is an area of rain and thunderstorms associated with a tropical wave about 200 miles east of the Bahamas. If it develops, it will be up against strong steering currents that will tend to keep it away from the US coast for the time being.

No other tropical formation anticipated in the next 48 hours.

Erin dissipated several days ago.

The remains of Erin is still wandering through the United States, also there is a tropical disturbance just South of Bermuda that they are looking at, other than that, there was a typhoon that hit China a day ago.
