How did Poseiden and Athena have an influence in ancient Rome?

Other than basically having stolen the entire Greek Paethon of Gods Poseidon and Athena have little to do with Rome because they are Greek gods.

The Roman equivalent of Poseiden and Athena are Neptune and Minerva.
