How could u possibly go 2 jail for killing a dog, yet espn telecasts shows about hunting. How is it illegal to kill a dog but u can take a shotgun & blow a deer's brain out. Its ridiculous & sickening how America thinks & how they treat their dogs better than anything on earth.

firsts of all, for all those people who think i am defending mike vick, im not i think its very inhuman yes he should be punished for it. BUT if he & his friends had went hunting & shot a couple of birds out of the sky we wouldnt even be having this discussion. And dnt give me that bull about there's a difference of killing 4 food and killing for fun. Have of people in america hunt for the fun have. they keep the body and stuff them as a trophy. Yes dogfighting is wrong but on the same note so is blowing a deer's brain out. Hunting now when it is not neccassary to is just as inhumane as dogfighting. Its not as if we are in the 1600s were hunting is our only means of food.

There is no defending forcing two dogs to fight to the death and killing one if they quit.

Sorry you aren't a fan of LAWS, but dog fighting is illegal in all 50 states

Hunting is not even comparable to what vick did. I hunt, I want to feed my family low fat, low cholesterol, low salt, non-hormone injected meals. We are all healthier for it. Killing for food is how our ancestors survived and many people aim to carry on that tradition. You are a complete fool to even compare these two things. You are a jacka- and obviously know nothing about hunting.

Dogfighting is a sickening 'sport' which the dogs are beaten , starved and deprived of anything these ******* can think of to make the animal mean. And when the dog is too wounded, too old, too tired, or just isn't a 'good enough' fighter, these bastards wouldn't just shoot the animal to end its misery quickly, they electrocuted or beat the poor animals to death.

Anyway, hunting is not for morons that want to run out and shoot whatever moves, it is about patience and knowing when to take the right shot. One shot is all I have EVER taken. I say that with great pride as I practice 3-4 times each week in the months leading up to hunting season so that I ensure a quick, clean kill. Most good hunters will tell you the same thing, although from the way you sound, it would not matter. You don't care about anyone else's thoughts or opinions, do you? That's pretty sad, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.

expensive J. Dub, i think of extremely some human beings are sill hating on Vick because of fact he does not seem possessing as much as what he became doing. First he admitted mentioned he knew no longer something - or perhaps now with all the information stacked against him- he's only admitting to being invovled interior the commerce factor- yet no longer admitting to any of the failings that are documented with the execution of canines. i consider you that there are different matters socially that are worse than what Mike Vick did - and positively i wish after his penitentiary sentence that he does turn his existence around- and gets a 2nd threat interior the NFL (it might probably be no longer as a QB). yet in answering your question- i think of human beings do no longer in trouble-free terms like the undeniable fact that they are being deceived and it sort of sounds like Mike continues to be no longer taking possession for what he's complete. He hasn't openly admitted any wrongdoing- and that i think of that's what has human beings disappointed. in any case only offering my 2 cents. Kindly, Nickster

What I want to know is WTF is wrong with Vick. Here is a multi-millionaire with the potential to make millions more and he participates is dog fights where the purse is about 2 minutes of his playing time. Idiot!
A dog is a domesticated animal, a deer is not. Dogfighting is illegal and so is non-regulated gambling. Hunting is still legal. There is a big difference between the two and Vick participated is something that it is illegal in all 50 states.

Whether you agree or disagree with the law as it pertains to dog fighting, IT IS THE LAW and Vick broke it! If pulling on your di*k in the shower was illegal I would be saying " How could u possibly go to jail for pulling your di*k in the shower, yet I would be risking jail time everyday because IT IS THE LAW! And the whole argument circulating around about hunting being just as bad is insane! When was the last time you went to someones house for a nice summer Dog-E-Cue?

You might have a point but the nature of maiming, drowning, and torturing dogs is not quite the same as hunting deer. Michael Vick made his own bed and now he has to sleep in it and more than likely he'll be sleeping on it in a prison cell next to "Big Bubba" if you know what i mean. I just have some advice for Vick, Don't drop the soap!!!

The difference is America does not starve these animals, allow them to mutilate one another, then turn around and kill the loser.

Hunting deer is vital way to maintain population control. Do you not realize how many car accidents occur by deer running out in front of a moving vehicle? At times deer are responsible for taking human life.

Deer are also a source of food for some people who may not have the means to eat any other way. Often you will see State Highway workers scooping up freshly hit deer and they deliver them to homeless shelters.

Comparing Vick to deer hunting is comparing apples to oranges. Deer hunting is legal and very much part of human existence.

Your theory does not hold much weight.

are u kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!! now dont get me wrong im not like peta or anything but cmon on what he was doing to those animals was inhumane. he would kill a dog if it was doing bad in traing for the fights he forced dogs to fight each other. and its not like vick killed one dog he killed dozens. he would take dogs heads and shove them into water and drown them.

ur point about the deer hunting but still people have permits to hunt those animals and a lot of the time the hunting is because the area is over populated with deer there is a huge difference between killing a deer and killing a dog idiot.

mike vick deserves to go to jail for how long im not sure but the bottom line is he deserves to go to jail

Stupid question. I'm guessing you are black, with a name like Darren. Go figure pretty much you and cocoa are the only people that seem to have this thought process. I swear, its always black people defending these dumbass black athletes and entertainers that do dumba** sh*t. I bet Pacman Jones, OJ, and Micheal Jackson didn't do anything wrong either! Raising dogs inhumanely, having them fight for money, and then killing the loser in usually torturous methods is NOWHERE close to the same thing as hunting deer. Get a brain and stop supporting people simply based on the color of their skin

Are you saying you're for banning hunting or for making dog fighting legal. The difference in your comparision is Vick's torturing and illegally betting on animals.
I believe what you are calling "America" is saying we don't want to pay to see to animal-torturing QB on Sundays.
I'd like to see a big fine and probation
