I live 30 miles from St. Louis and I have never seen more than a simple sports rivalry. I like to go to KC. The cities are 2 completely different lifestyles and feelings

St. Louis has always been known, rightly or wrongly, as a more sophisticated, Eastern city, while Kansas City has a reputation of being a "cow town." St. Louis is much older than Kansas City, and, for the most part, is still living on its long ago glory days.

I didn't know we did. I have been to Kansas City and for me it was very confusing. We got lost I don't know how many times. I guess for me St. Louis is easier to get around.

We don't have anything against K.C. it's really just a sports rivalry, but I think K.C. is the same toward STL. Personally I don't like K.C. we should have let Kansas have it.

I'm not sure what people you are referring to. Yes, most st. louisans are very proud of our city. I don't hear people bashing KC. Other than a possible sports rivalry, I don't really know why it would be an issue.

I remember Johnny Carson talking about the "I-70 World Series" when it was going on. He said, "They're going to settle once and for all the question of which is the more exciting town."

I guess it has to do with hometown pride.

I grew up in Houston, Texas and all of my relatives are still there, except me, and I swear they think that Houston is the center of the universe! *sigh* LOL

You think I'm kidding? My brother will call me and tell me to turn on the news on channel such-and such and check out what happened today.......it's their 'local' news. lol and I live 1200 miles away from them. I tell you, it's a crying shame!

I have lived in St Louis my whole life, and never heard of such a claim.

A lot of people don't even know. I mean, it's a friendly rivalry. It's not like a violent rivalry. I think we don't like them cause they don't like us. And they don't like us cause we don't like them.

Honestly, it's NOTHING!!!!!

( St.Louis all the way, baby )
