No, they usually don't accept foreign currencies (except maybe in a few hotels). You have to pay with the local currency, which is NOT the Euro, even though both these countries are in the European Union.
So, the local currency in Hungary is the forint ( one US dollar is about 195 forints) and the local currency in Romania is the lei (one US dollar is about 2.5 lei).

You do a currency exchange at the bank in the airport you just landed in. Many of the countries in Europe belong to the European Union which means they all have one currency which is the Euro. You won't have any problems.

No they take krones they don't take dollars anywhere in europe well they do but they beat you up on the currency exchange.

All you have to do is get your money exchanged at the airport exchange center. you can do it at any airport. if you cant find the booth just ask someone who works there.

no, you need their money.... in hungary it's florints...you can go to any atm -- they are everywhere!!
