How do l cure this illness and causes it??

Most likely what you are seeing is the result of either damage moving the fish or from ammonia burns. Think of the dark areas as similar to bruises in that they don't show up until after the damage is done. Check you ammonia readings in your tank as well as the nitrites and do any water changes needed to keep them in a safe range. If I can help further feel free to email me.

Change the water and use a filter with a charcoal pad in it such as a Fluval 2 (or 3 or 4 if the tansk big enough to take it)

Ammonia might be the culprit!! Get your water tested... many fish places will do it for free. Hurry because it doesn't take long for the effects to become irreversible.
Good luck! ... I was too late to save mine but I was told that that was the cause!

High ammonia level in the H2O can cause that.

it is something in the water, get it checked NOW otherwise your fish will die!

I don't know but we hAD ONE THAT DID THE SAME..IT WAS FINE THOUGH
