I have a trip planned to take to Montego Bay next month. I knew it was risky when I booked but it is my birthday and I really wanted to go to Jamaica. Should I try to get my money back or is it likely that the resort will be up and running?

Its very likely things will be back to normal in a few days. However, you may want to look into travel insurance, as airlines are pretty crappy about rescheduling until the very last second that bad weather can be on top of you. Just because there was one, doesnt mean there cant be another.

Yes, everything should be fine in a few days.Have a great time. Once visiting, you will want to go back every year.
