You couldn't have said it any better. Does anyone remember how much the President was blamed for hurricane Katrina? That was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Or even how he was called racist by a certain "rapper" on live television. I believe that Bush is doing the best he can in such a screwed up world. I really would like to shake his hand for sticking to his guns and not backing down... That is a good man and a strong willed person right there. If anyone else doesn't think so then they have some serious reconsidering to do. I honestly believe almost any other President would fold under the pressure and change their ways....he's doing whats best for our country. Not whats best for his term in office.

It's simple really. It's a win win situation to not really educate the public on this matter. The President gets more prestige, and congress usually isn't held responsible for bad things that happen as a result of their decisions, case in point, all of the democrats except one or two voted for the war in Iraq, yet they now claim to be the "anti-war" party. The president takes all the blame, or credit, but it doesn't really matter because the most he can stay in office is two terms. The republicans are hoping that when he leaves office they will save face, because poeple will blame Bush not the party. The truth is the President has very little power, congress could have withdrawn his right to be in Iraq at pretty much any time after 6 months. Just one example.

JC! I am horrified at the lack of credibility of these answerers.
Doesn't anybody know that for 6 years, until January, 2007, the Rebublicans had the majority in Congress? Bush had no opposition. Bush has vetoed 2, or maybe 3 proposals in almost 7 years.
Doesn't anybody read the paper? Doesn't anybody know how the three branches of government work?
And the questioner doesn't know any better.
Bush's proposals for 90% of his presidency have been passed by the (then) Republican majority.
And right now, the balance in the Senate is 50 Democrats, 49 Republicans, 1 Independent.
I wonder if anyone in this Q&A went to high school.
The ignorance is mind boggling.

i think of human beings have a tendency responsible him by using fact particularly some the anger comes from the war in Iraq, which replaced into started by using his govt orders. on the time, maximum folk of individuals supported his flow, yet over the years the approval has considering the fact that dropped off. mutually as i do no longer think of he's the only source of the concern politcally, I do think of he shoulders lots of it. additionally, Congress replaced into aligned with him until eventually the final election, so they does not have chop up from their occasion and from him to vote against him. One reason is, while you're a flesh presser, you prefer to be reelected. they have the purposes of the human beings they characterize on their shoulders, and to cut loose from that would desire to indicate no longer being reelected. they'd technically have overridden his dealings contained in the international and regionally, in spite of the shown fact that that's smart why Congress not at all did. Bush is a Republican, and by using maximum folk of his presidency the Congress replaced into Republican led besides. they could have aligned with him on maximum issues or they could have confronted scrutiny from their colleagues and the human beings they represented. With the administrative orders he used, like deploying the army, he did no longer ought to flow by using Congress to do it. there are particular powers the president has, yet they are in a position to be constrained by using the Congress if want be, like deploying the army for specific constrained classes of time. regardless of if he did, like I mentioned until eventually now, they could have authorized it in any case. They share the blame with him, yet anybody is blaming him and the Republican occasion as the thank you to objective and make effective properties in Congress and the presidency in next 365 days's elections. it is likewise element of the reason. i'm no longer cynical approximately our government, i think of it will be responsible for the blunders it made under whoever rules the Congress and holds the presidency, no depend if that's Republican or Democratic.

Who knows why they do it? If they don't agree they feel to vent their frustrations they need to blame someone, so President Bush is blamed for everything. Quite frankly I wouldn't want to be President of the USA with so many ungrateful people who are unable to see any good in all you do.
But then, people tend to follow the flock and if they hear one rant, they all join in, some just the opposite of what was said to urge people on.
I may not agree with all he has done, but I stand behind our Country and our President, and yes, I know, I will receive a lot of thumbs down.

You are right. Most of the people complaining about him couldn't name the capitol of their own state, probably could not name any of the Amendments, and do not have any real understanding of our government.
Whichever side is in power - they tend to blame the president for anything bad - even if it's something that congress did. The dems are the worst at this... they make up problems and then blame Bush for the problems.
The economy is bangin' right now. Stock market has never been higher. No further attacks on our soil. I think he is doing way better than he gets credit for.
And the guy "freepress" that answered this question cannot name a single deception that Bush made. Clinton, Albright, Gore and others ALL believed when Clinton was pres that Saddam had WMDs. He just didn't do anything about it.

Because people are so ignorant that they don't even realize that the last six words of your question are the actual case.
A lot of idiots don't seem to think that congress has any say in most major ideas/propositions made by the president. It's a dire and pathetic picture that was unconsciously painted by liberals in recent years. So many negative issues are being presented to every American, and Bush is not the one to blame for a majority of them.

You're right. The democrats in congress were the reason the war wasn't going so well. They wouldn't give any funding.

he doesn't "go" through congress, congress goes through him, he's the executive branch
and you seem to be forgetting that he has veto power over congress, for Ex. he's VETOED almost everything the democratic congress wants to but unilaterally supported everything the republican congress did, so tell me, who exactly is at fault here??
