the democrats should have the advantage, but are likely going to nominate senator clinton, a controversial, mediocre nominee, they may very well still win but it will be more difficult than if they had a more traditionally electable candidate, but at the same time it will be hard for a republican candidate to win with president bush's unpopularity and the frontrunners problems with the gop base

The republicans are dead in the water for 2008, especially since Bush intends on handing off his mess of a war to his predecesor.

All the republican candidates for president are neo-con clones of Bush...with the exception of Ron Paul. these clones don't have a chance in hell of being elected once the american public gets to know them.

The next president, regardless of party, will be forced to raise taxes due to the bungling of Bush and the obscene deficit he's left our nation.

You neo-con idiots like to vomit out how the dems will raise taxes? May I remind you that not only were our taxes less before Bush took office, but gasoline was $1.46 a gallon.

I think that we might be in for a big surprise. As an Independent, once again, I see no Democrats that I feel comfortable with. I'm leaning towards Ron Paul but doubt that the corporate machine will give him much of a chance.

You ask your question as if there is no chance...? That's a pretty shallow question though if you ask me. The GOP and the DEMS all have an equal chance. I have no clue why we have to even hear about the campaigning for President already though...most of the Presidential hopefuls are probably going to drop out of the race with in the next year or so. I will have to say that the GOP has a much stronger fighting stance against terrorism then the DEMS do. One way for us to find out though...

Ron Paul rocks....But also, I would be concerned about having too much one party rule - like the republicans had for so many years. Now that the democrats have congress, I am scared of a president of the same party.

Well, considering that the lead Republicans aren't real Republicans, it could definitely happen. Plus, Hillary and Obama are sooooo very wrong for the job for so many reasons. The Republicans may have poor candidates, but the Democrats have worse!

Who will save the Democratic party from themselves? When will they go back to the days of JFK? "Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country."
MLK in his I have a dream speech said: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. "

Both of these great men talked about contribution of the individual not about taking from the community. The republican part talks closer to their belief than the present Democrats!

Right now the 2 best democrates are unelectable. Hillary and Obama.
So yes, there is a great chance if someone like Romney and Rudy ran on the same ticket.

Im not a Republican but considering the opposition, YES!!!! Should America elect Hillary or Obama? If so, we might as well raise the white flag now and remove all border check points.
