Life can exist outside our planet. Just because we dont have any evidence about life on other planets outside earth does not mean that there isn't.

Just like how we all have evolved, life force in other planets could have evolved in other planets as well, maybe not in the human form, by adapting to tolerate high and unstable temperatures and climates. Probabilty of life force existing out of our planet is pretty high.

But if you are asking in the human context as in us, we cannot endure the environment of the other planets as we rely on oxygen to survive and we will not be able to make it in these extreme temperatures and climate changes.

The athmosphere, pressure, temperature and climate in these other planets in our solar system are not condusive to human life.

Hope this helps!

If you mean outside the earth, no oxygen and stuff.
If you mean there are no other planets that can support life, we don't know that for sure. It's actually possible, but i nmy opinion, the case would have to be just as perfect as ours. What are the chances of a planet with a sufficient amount of land, water, oxygen and other natural resources? Look at Mars for example - there has been proof of water bodies having existed there, meaning that once, maybe, it could've supported life. so, there is a chance =) I hope they're nice o.o

LIfe can't exist in space, because there is no atmosphere, so in other words, no matter what an organisms needs to survive, it can't obtain it, like oxgen, hydrogen, etc. Another reason why life can't exist would because space is also extremely cold.

But, even though life might not exist anywhere else in our solar system, the chances and odds of at least 1 more planet, or moon in our universe to have life on it, is very very high

I don't think anyone (especially not scientists) claim that life can't exist outside Earth. Most thinking people believe that life is possible (maybe even inevitable) on other worlds.
The claim right now is that we haven't found life on any other planet - YET.

Well, I hate to go all sci-fi here but . . .

What are the chances that we are the only planet that has oxygen? I'm not talking our solar system, I mean beyond it. There could be a MILLION other planets that we can't even get near with our technology. I mean, our solar system could be tiny compared to whatever's beyond it. It's pretty intense stuff, eh? I mean imagine that all that we've worked so hard for for all these years could mean be pathetic compared to what's out there! Jeez, now you got me going and I can't stop!

Come on life exist outside of our planet. Hasn't anyone seen Star Wars or Farscape? That's not happening in our neighborhood. It's happening somewhere in this universe. :)

Nobody said it couldn't, just that the odds off every thing being right for life is astronomical. The type of star, distance from star, size of the planet, geologic activity, size of moon (if you don't think that's important think about every thing that the moon affects). And many other things that don't seem signifacant but importantance cannot be calculated.

Who says life cannot exist away from our planet.
Sure, life as WE know it cannot...but what do we know of extraterrestrial life? And if you mean terrestrial life, its because the environments of other planets are simply too harsh to support it.

In my opinion life surely exists out there. Our universe is huge. And it doesn't have to be a superintelligent big green alien.
A tiny microorganism'll do for me :)

our definition of life is somewhat minimized as we only know of our own existance. speak, eat, breath, and poop! aleins may be different and we wont recognize them as aleins
