I just got treated for a bad Yeast infection exactly a week ago. Now it is back, I even confirmed so by taking the Vagisil screening kit. My doctor gave me an agressive treatment but now I am in misery again. Should I call the dr. on call and see if they can call me in something or wait till am.

there are different types of bacteria that can cause yeast infections. the most common is candida so that is what they treat. that is what the over the counter treat and that is what your dr will treat for. (if you didnt go see him and he didnt do a culture)
i would call your dr and see if you can go in and have them do a culture to see exactly what type of bacteria is causing this that way you can get the correct meds.

wear cotton underwear, no tight clothes, dont sit around in a wet swim suit (yeast likes to grow in dark moist places), eat yogurt (specifically the type w/ "live active cultures"), dry off completely after showering, and keep it clean.
DO NOT DOUCHE that takes away the good bacteria that fight off the bad bacteria.

Your doctor may have to give a mixture of treatments. Sometimes one treatment may not work well with others. Also be aware of the type of underwear you are wearing. Cotton underwear is the best underwear for females. It allows air to circulate. Also if you are using powder, stop using it. this causes yeast infection as well. Did you complete the treatment all the way to the end. If you stopped the treatment because you longer felt any itching, then you left room for the nasty little critter to come back.
