Hello, i was wondering if it is illigal to speed if you are trying to escape someone following your car (loose them) if you think the people following you where armed?

While yes, it is illegal to speed (period), you could argue in a court of law that not doing so would have endangered your life.

It is still illegal. As others have said, if I were in that situation, I would break the law. I would rather explain why I was speeding in court than not be alive to do so.

It is still illegal but if you have a court system in the UK I don't think a jury would convict you for trying to evade an armed attacker.

In most nations, two wrongs do not make a right.

If I thought my life was in jeopardy from armed maniacs, I would drive as fast as I can to either police station, or other similar agency ... example, suppose there is a nearby military base. I might drive through the fence, then stop with my hands raised for the military police to arrest me ... at least I am alive ... my obligation limited to getting the fence fixed.

Hopefully they believe my story & got after the maniacs.

If I had armed people chasing me I don't think I would be worried about the legality of speeding...

it illegal as you put every one in danger so in this case if some one is following you drive going to a police station
