Romaine lettuce won't hurt your turtles, but it has very little nutritional value. Watercress & spinach are better veggie choices than lettuce.
Get some packaged(pre-cooked if you like) shrimp at the grocery store. You can feed them shrimp or whiting, as long as it's cooked to eliminate parasites. The shrimp or fish should cover your turtles protein needs.

Greens are a much better choice than any lettuces. Lettuces have a high percentage of water, and have little nutritional value. Collard, mustard, turnip, dandelion greens, etc. make a better choice.

Spinach should only be used sparingly because it contains oxalic acid, as it binds to calcium.

Romaine lettuce is a lot more nutritious than iceberg lettuce. They cost about a dollar a head.

ALL lettuce is composed of about 80% water. But yes you can feed them this, but it wont be the most nutrtious. Try some protein.

Romaine is fine as part of a varied diet. i have always given it to my turts and theyve always been healthy. def. don't borther with iceburg lettuce as others have stated..its basically just water and totally useless.
