What law is this and is it federal? (Washington State)?

My friend went to get a license at 19, and he had never been in a school system, or anything like that, and since he didnt go to a driving school he had to present ID, I think he said 5 ID other then birth certificate. So he had to get 5 IDs, A library card, id card, and a couple others that I forget.

So, what law is this and is it nationwide or only in washington?

It sounds bizarre, but they accepted his library card as one of the IDs. Just shows how messed up this country is, we let our government blow up our buildings, then blame people in caves, then strip rights, and make it so illegals get free medical and easy driver's licenses, then the people who live here take all the crap. Its definitly bizarre. And yes, 5 forms of ID. Though my sister, who is 15 got her permit with just a birth certificate. I got my license with a birth certificate and proof I went to a driving school, yet my friend whos older then I was when I got mine, 4 years older in fact, gets screwed over cause hes older. Cmon, that makes less sense then using a library card as a form of ID.

I just found that. Because he didnt have a primary, or secondary which are all stupid; military id, immigration id (even though its supposed to stop immigrants), drivers license, (which is an oxymoron cause to get one you need proof, not a drivers license.), and Passport are primaries. That is stupid, and Parental Authorization. But, hes over 18 so hes void of the primary. And since he wasnt an indian or someone with a foreign passport, and since he didnt go to rehab, corrections, or jail, he didnt fit into the supporting category. So, he needed 5 ids, and I guess they let him use his library card even though its listed under unaccepted.

I just explained the last comment. He didnt fit into the, "hes a terrorist, indian, foreign, immigrant, went to prison-rehab-or corrections" category. So basically since hes not what were trying to supposedly stop, he needs 5 times more id then that who is those who were supposedly trying to stop. Messed up isnt it?

Must be local. My son here in Ohio just went to get his license and he had to have 2 IDs. Birth certificate to show his DOB and his Social Security card to verify his SSN. There were a couple of options for each, but he only needed two.

This law is both federal and state.

You may recall that several of the 9/11 hijackers fraudulently got driver's licenses, and 6 months after 9/11, they got their green cards. You may be aware that there are a few million illegals in the country.

Well various laws have been passed by the federal government and by state governments to impose rules on how to determine if someone is not an illegal or a terrorist.

All states are supposed to require proof of CITIZENSHIP and proof of Social Security number. Each state has its own list of acceptable documents for each. I have never heard of a library card appearing on any list.
