I don't have a dial up connection, which is what I need to send a fax. I have broadband. Can someone help me.

A COM Port is a physical thing.
When we can download those.
We can beam Scotty up!.
All you need is a V9.2 Fax/Modem
They usualy come with a fax software.

You need to connect the fax to the telephone line.

You don't need dial up to send fax, just a dial up modem.

There are paid online faxing services like http://www.myfax.com/ or http://www.trustfax.com/.
