In my aquarium, I have 3 bala sharks (about 3 inches each), 3 black-skirt tetras, 1 opaline gourami, and 1 angel fish. I have had them for about 1 1/2 months now. One bala shark keeps chasing the other 2 balas plus the black skirt tetras but it doesn't bother the angel fish or opaline gourami. Should I get a few more balas to make a school? What should I do?

they're suppose to be in a bigger school, like 5-6
the one chasing might be a male defending hid territorry or trying to mate

Hope that helps
Good luck

If you put Bala Sharks in the same tank they need to be the same size or you will get a bully. And you may want to put them in seperate tanks, it happens a lot even though they have been together for a long time things change. Or at least take the mean one out while the others eat. Go to a local pet store and ask around.

One of them may be a female and the male is aggressive? May need to seperate them inside the tank - call the local pet store and ask them for help- u may end up with a school of them! or lose one if 2 are males and fight for the female !
