The 7900GS would be the best among the three. It has the more powerful graphics processor. You can further boost its performance on your PC if you could overclock that Sempron to 2.4Ghz.

I would take the 7800GS. They best answer to your question would be the 7900GS, but I have a huge problem with XFX. I purchased 2 6800xt with the intent to have an sli computer. They only lasted for about 6 months before one of the cards gave up. I tried to have them warrantied, but XFX was no help. I have another computer that I did an 7600gt sli set up on and they were much faster/better quality. I also build computers and I have been unhappy with XFX. The 7900 is a faster card, but I can not find anyone else who makes a 7900 card in an AGP form.

The 7800 GS OC will give you more bang for the buck. The reviews did not look good on the 7900. Try to find the BFG 7800GS it will last forever. I have had one since Christmas never had a problem with it. The 7800 will play recent games (Fear, Prey and Bioshock Demo) on my Athlon 2500 XP 1GB machine. I have a BFG FX 5600 Ultra that I have had for 4 years and running strong in my son's machine.

The 7900 is good, but if you're on a budget, I actually have the 7600GT, and it runs everything I throw at it on max settings (World of Warcraft, F.E.A.R. Dark Messiah of Might and Magic).

But even if you are okay with spending $200, I would go with the 7600GT and then buy another gig of ram. Doubling your ram would significantly boost all aspects of your computing experience - not just being able to have one obscure setting turned all the way up by having a 7900 vs 7600.

Note to the guy above me: XFX is still in business...I dealt with their customer service just a few weeks ago.

definite, your motherboard does help it. Your motherboard has a PCI 2.0 port which the video card calls for, aswell as SLI help. i don't think of you need to use SLI with twin PCI 2.0 gfx taking part in cards, because of the fact it appears that evidently like theres in basic terms one PCI 2 port, however the specs on your card says it helps hybrid SLI, i think meaning SLI between the PCI video card and the built-in video controller. only determine you have a capability furnish that supplies sufficient capability to help the upgraded video card.

For the money, the XFX. But they are no longer in business and would be difficult to get any warranty done. So I would say the EVGA 7800 would be a best choice. But personnally I would pick a PCI-E card and not an AGP card.
