it's one rule for the boys and a million for the girls and girls have to wear mans clothes as you can see from the list

it says blouse there but we aren't allowed a fitted one it has to be a shirt
and a tie and blazer too

i hate the uniform : (
most schools nearby have own clothes or polo shirts and jumpers no tie shirt and blazer
it's not even a posh school

I don't want a tarty uniform I just wish we could wear what the other schools wear like polo shirts instead of shirt tie and blazer. (without moving school)

it's always been the way. It wouldn't be conducive to a good learning environment if the girls had their boobs bustling out of shirts and bums hanging out. The boys wouldn't concentrate and the girls would whinge about the boys perving at them constantly! Outside of school it's fine to dress however you want. But in school, I'm afraid that dressing to your gender shouldn't really be an issue. My school was exactly the same. At least you're allowed to wear trousers. We had to wear a regulation skirt which was hideous.

I agree, the girls clothing does seem a little masculine. I honestly feel bad for you. I go to a catholic school and I have to wear a uniform too, but it's just a white polo, and we have a choice of a navy blue skirt or pants

God you think that's bad when I attended school in the summer we had to wear a yellow dress, jacket with badge and a boater, which was usually used as a Frisbee

oh canada
how much i love thy liberty.

school uniforms are EVIL! EVEIL!
unless your on a sports team, or work, theres no need to wear a unform. we only really had tasteful clauses. i got through highschool dressing a lot like i was part of the ramones.
unless you go a seperate school, its actually illegal (was whe i was in school) to make the kids wear uniforms. the only restriction is that it passes the public obscenity laws, a school may request fitted clothing in tougher neighborhoods to keep to weapons or drugs out of the schools.

anyway, its been 10yrs since ive been in highschool, but i know how my piano students dress. i agree, the restrictions are aweful.

they have more restrictions and guidelines for girls cuz girls are more likely to try to find loopholes in dress codes and they're the ones who break the dress code more often. if you don't agree with something on the list petition the school or talk to the man(or woman) in charge. do something about it instead of complaining.

i don't think it's sexist at all. the boys and girl have pretty much the exact same rules, except that girls can chose to wear a skirt instead of pants.

it would suck having to follow that code, but it's not sexist.

It's to stop teenage girls from going to school dressed up like hookers (which you know they would do, given the opportunity). Boys just don't do that.

Ours was worse - regulation skirts and bags! Pass the sick bag!

This whole thing is a perversion in Japan!

Personally...I hate shool uniform. I think it is an excuse thought up by the stupid to control the young.

It's only to make the girls look less appealing to paedophiles.

There is nothing 'sexist' about the uniform, it sounds to me like you are just sulking because you can't go dressed as a 'Bratz' doll, you are there to learn you know...
