Orlando International Airport is the one you want. It is in the closest proximity to everything.

The Orlando International Airport (MCO) is the major primary airport that serves Orlando and surrounding areas. All major carriers fly into Orlando International Airport, it is considered the Busiest Airport in the State of Florida based on number of passengers annually and one of the top major airports in the U.S. Here is a link to the official airport website:

In addition to Orlando International Airport, there is a second commercial airport in north Orlando; The Orlando-Sanford International Airport (SFB) located in Sanford, a distant northern suburb in Seminole County. This airport is much smaller and mostly handles European discount carriers.

The Orlando Executive Airport is a small general aviation airport near Downtown Orlando that primarily handles private charter flights and flight training.

orlando international airport(mco) is the closest airport, but if you can try and fly into Sandford airport(sfb) i say this because i have used both and to make the start of your holiday easier sandford is definatley the best. it takes sligthly longer to get to your hotel from there but it is a much nicer airport especially if you have children. Just remember that on your return home if you fly from oralndo international there is nothing to do except sit in the departure lounge, where as sanford has a royal palm loung which costs about £10 each but this includes 2 free drinks either wine or beer, then you have as many soft drinks and snacks as you require and as well as this the also have a small movie room to chill out before your flight home. definatley reccomend sandford but have a great time whatever you choose.

The closest airport to downtown Orlando is Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) which is 3 miles away, but it services only general and corporate aviation. All major commercial carriers fly into Orlando International Airport (MCO) which is located 9 miles southeast of downtown. Some discount and charter airlines fly into Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) 18 miles northeast of downtown.
