im into 80s metal. so rap (hip hop) is my worst type. aspecially r&b. i can handle a little country here and there but not much
oh yea, dont forget jazz, classical, opera and all the other sucky types!!

I like mainly Classical, Classical Cross-over and Opera so the worst types of music in my opinion are Country, R&B, Rap.
I also particularly dislike any repetitive mainstream pop song that gets overplayed too much such as anything by Mika(I HATE Mika), as well as whiny male emo singers such as James Blunt or the lead singer from Simple Plan.
That being said, I actually like many types of alternative rock and metal, including 80s metal, as well as a lot of mainstream pop that doesn't belong to any of the above categories.

well I will tell you
I come from a family of musicians
My Mom was a Concert Pianist
my Dad was a Session Guitarist in Nashvillle in the 50's and 60's
I got an Uncle Fronts a Bluegrass Band
And I myself can play any Classical Piece you want on the Piano and have very eclectic Music tastes
All that being said
here are some music styles that really relly do not juice my fruit
Country after about 1990
Most Jazz
100% EMO URGHAALURGHAA
Light Metal
MOR Crappy Dappy like Bolton and Kenny G
Pop since about 1990
Death Metal
Grunt Vocals Metal
Opera sorry but it blows chunks
HipHop EXCEPT For PPL that came from The N.W.A.
Most of those types make me want to run to the nearset bathroom and HURL

Jazz has influence on rock. Classical music was like the true beginnings of music. And opera...eh...opera is okay.
I hate rap though, unless it's used well with rock. The only song that I really like with rap in it is "Walk This Way" by Aerosmith with Run DMC.
I also hate emo music, along with current pop music and current alternative rock.

The one genre of music where I dont like ANYTHING is emo/screamo /whatever they call it.
I'm not all that into metal, but there is some ok stuff. There are a lot of amazing jazz artists, and even some good underground hip hop stuff.
But my favorite is post punk, indie, and old hippie classic rock folk music.

Classical, Metal 70's - 80's, industrial, goth, symphonic. Ballads, Experimental rock, Trance - progressive.
don't like RAP, i don't consider RAP as music, just bunch of sounds.

I don't get emo.
Some people here seem to have more contempt with the people (Blacks) associated with rap and R&B than with the genres themselves. Had to say it; some here are just a little too passionate about their hate.
