I don't say "oy" much but I like saying "aye" ... pretty similar. and they're both good piratey words.

Oy!!! is great to say especially when you run aground on a faux pas of someone else and as a pirate using their twang they are famous for it has a rather unique quality . I bet you are good at that and your eyepatch is very convincing.

i love saying "oy!" I also enjoy a good "oi" every now an then. it makes me feel jewish.
