I am thinking of buying a Paragon Janus Kiln, maybe the Janus 24. I have a Paragon ceramic kiln now that I fuse glass in but I really want a digital controller and top elements. I'm wondering if anyone has any first hand experience with this type kiln.

These kilns are made about 4 miles from my house and have a very strong reputation. The design is exactly what is called for in glass and ceramics. You might ask the company whether you can buy the wired lid for the kiln you have, thus saving the cost of the whole lower part. You can, of course, buy the digital controller separately. I do my glass fusing in my annealer that I built because I could not afford those prices.
