There was a sower that sowed seeds. Some landed on the way side and the fowls come to destroy it. Then some landed on the stones it sprouted up quick, but it had no good roots and as soon as the suns heat rose they weithred. Then some landed in a bush of thorns and as soon as they grew the thorns choked them. Then some seed landed on the good soil and increased thirty sixty and some seventy fold.

Jesus Explains the parable of the Four Soils
(78/Matthew 13:10-23; Mark 4:10-25)

11”This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God.”
12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved.
13 Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall way.
14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

Sounds like someone needs to get compost and mulch. Of course seeds won't grow on rock.

Open your ears, and let your heart listen.

What are you asking? This is just a bible story about how "seeds" need to land on prepared "soil" or it does no good.

What ever you say,if it falls on deaf ears it will mean nothing. If it falls on a person with a shallow mind,he will not think it through. A person may hear you but not think it important and so not care.A person with an open mind will hear, understand and learn.
