Exact opposite. The eye of the hurricane is an area of extremely LOW pressure and thus if the water were to take some shape it would look more like a dome of water that reaches UP into the eye.

While the air spirals in towards the centre of the hurricane, before it reaches the centre there is only one way it can go and that is up. This creates the eye wall, a bank of towering cumulonimbus cloud and a calm area in the centre called the eye. The seas in the eye are confused and can be nasty but they are not spiralling so there is no vortex.

The eye of a hurricane when seen from above looks like a big round empty space surrounded by white swirling cloud. It is very beautiful to look at and is a vaccuum and totally peaceful.

The eye of a hurricane is calm.

It is pretty cool. You see blue skies, calm winds, no rain.

But beware because as the hurricane moves you will soon be in the backside of the hurricane.

You would see a clear area of very choppy water.
If you were able to detect it you would see that the
water level was actually slightly higher than
elsewhere due to the extremely low pressure
toward the center of the storm.
