I am on vacation. But I was also visiting my father at the hospital on the weekend. My home is very quiet also. No noise, but a breeze of wind and trees moving back and forth because it has been raining!

You will sleep as much as your body demands that you sleep. Some people can get by on only 3 or 4 hours a night. Others feel tired even after sleeping for 10 hours a night. It all depends on the nature of your sleep and the needs of you physiology. Also, your sleep needs change based on the state of your current health. So, sometimes you may not need much sleep and other times you may need a lot more sleep.

No two people are exactly alike, and no two people have exactly the same sleep requirements. Some people need only six hours a night, others need twelve. Where you fit in can be influenced by a number of things - stress, for one, and visiting your father in hospital can be stessful. Your quiet surroundings would also be sleep aids - and reading about the breeze and the wind and the trees moving back and forth makes me sleepy!

we are really sleep deprived-need 8-10 hrs-but rarely get that much due high stressed jobs. You are under the extra stress of having your father at a hospital. Your body tells you you need sleep so take advantage of being on vacation and get your sleep. Now is also a good time to eat nutritious food, get a health check up with a full panel of lab work. Be kind to yourself and be blessed by your quiet home. Do you know the diagnosis of your dad and you did not mention your mother and if she needs your assistance now. Do you have siblings to help you if this diagnosis is serious.

Your body knows how much sleep you need. Don't pay attention to how much others sleep.

The only downside of sleep length is being married to some one who sleeps more, or less than you...especially if you like to do "it" in the morning.

Good heavens it sounds divine! Sleep late, listen to the rain and feel the breeze.

And don't feel guilty! It isn't bad for you.
