Eat soup. Broth.... then move up to regular food. When you are hungry enough you will eat. At least drink some protein shakes. Fear of death by choking is no laughing matter.

A food processor or blender should be able to liquefy almost any food to the point where you could drink it through a large straw, but eventually you'll want to start eating normally. The best advice that I can offer is to take small bites and chew the food until it goes down all by itself. You won't need to make the decision to swallow it if you chew it long enough.
Be sure that you have someone there with you to give you emotional support and so that you know that if you have a problem, help will be available.

Is there something wrong with your throat or was the bread thing just an accident? For now just make sure that you always eat with someone in the room so that you know that if there is a problem you'll be safe. Cut your food into small pieces that will be impossible to lodge in your throat. Drink water while eating if pieces don't seem to go down fast enough, and cook your food until it gets soft and moves down easily. Foods you can't choke on: bananas, apple sauce, macaroni, peas, any cooked beans, slices of lunch meat, cereal and oatmeal, tomato soup, yogurt and pudding, rice, etc.

Try eating smushy foods, such as yoghurts and ice cream. If you are hungry but you're scared, why not kinda build it up. Take it in little steps, like only have a certain amount of crunchiness. You could also just take tiny little bites and/or chew thoroughly to make sure the food is small enough to swallow without you feeling as if you're gonna choke. I hope you get better soon! xo *hugs*

Start with soft foods. Think ice cream. Soups and ground-type foods that are easy to swallow. Keep trying to swallow until the fear subsides (and it will.). Mix soft foods with milk or another liquid.

just eat small amount the foods and chew it as you can. You shouldn't put too much food in your mouth. It's not good for you. Drink the water while you chewing the foods.

You are so funny, have you lost any weight? I wish I had that problem! But if you are serious, then I suggest you eat soup and soft foods. You are scared now, but I promise it will get better in a couple of days.

Try drinking something light(i don't mean alcohol) then move on to smoothies. Do you see where i am going with this. You go to thicker substances and move on to food. and maybe try chewing gum a lot(two or three pieces) till you feel comfortable swallowing

take much smaller bites and chew a lot and start with soups and then chunky soups and build back up. If all else fails then try anti-anxiety meds for a few days until you're back in the groove.

Take small bites. Moisten it with a liquid. Chew very properly and then try to take it in slowly. It should help. If not go in for counseling.
