Where are there 5 seasons? I live in Arizona where we have HOT and kinda HOT. Two seasons.
I guess it would depend on where you wanted to squeeze the 5th season in.
There already is a 5th season, just before Lent. Called Carnival season.

The scientific community could never do that, it would be far too radical to be accepted by the many cultures that have used 4 seasons traditionally for millennia. But changing the calendar isn't a bad idea, at least as far as months go.
There are 365 days in each year and 366 every 4th. This would be perfect for a system of 13 30-day months. The other 5 or 6 days would be a holiday period, not part of any month, and set at one or more of the solstices or equinoces.
The seasons could not be of equal length, but the traditional 4 could each be given 3 months, and then one month could be set off as a mini-season. For Americans the best time for this would be between late November and the winter solstice. I would call it the "lazy season" since everyone is pretty much lazy then anyway.

Some parts of the world already have five named and identified seasons. The four seasons of northern Europe were identified by the weather, the behaviour and migration of animals and birds and the flowering and fruiting of plants long before Keppler and Copernicus came along. These four seasons have been imposed on the rest of the world but the rest of the world is not like northern Europe.
Across northern Australia, the people of the Kimberley in the northwest have five seasons; the people of the Darwin area and Arnhem land have six; there are five seasons again south of Boroloola and round into northwest Queensland but the Wik people of Cape York Peninsula have eight seasons. These are all named and identified seasons, identified in exactly the same way as the northern European seasons.
Countries with indigenous populations should talk to their natives and discover what the identified seasons were before the European invasion. I am sure there are many different seasons in the Americas just as there are in Australia but has anyone ever taken the trouble to ask?

I'd put season 5 in the coldest part of winter (late Dec/Jan/Feb) and call the season Arctico.
This will NEVER happen though because the season's aren't based on weather, they're indicators of where the earth is in relation to the sun relative to our tilt. The reason there are four is because we have 4 celestial markers which are associated with the seasons and the passage of the year. The summer and winter solstices and the vernal and autumnal equinoxes.
The origins of the seasons kind of limit the number you can have.
But I still vote for Arctico. If you've lived in a cold climate, you know that 72 day span of freezing cold...

The Lakers have actual had the superb low season. They upgraded there bench. Antawn Jamison is an excellent develop. They have been given so plenty extra effective on protection down contained in the low placed up with the addition of Dwight Howard. Which to me is extra important than a extra offensive gifted Andrew Bynum. the only difficulty I see with Steve Nash is that his protection in specific in no longer sturdy, it relatively is unquestionably one of there in basic terms susceptible factors. different than that, they seem super! The Lakers would be an extremely frightening group this upcoming season. i understand I named a number of the gamers you pronounced, yet I had to with a view to make my ingredient. BQ: incredibly sturdy. enjoyed the Miami warmth's victory. comfortable plenty in the process the summer season. yet now, i'm truly impatient. i choose the NBA season to commence now.

How about Harvest? It's the time of the year when squirrels, bears, and other critters fatten up for the winter. Also, people harvest the fruits of their summer labour on their farms. Produce is picked and canned to be used over the winter months.

I live in an area where we seldom have winter, so maybe we should just have the other three seasons. Works for me.
