A few years ago there was lots of talk about virtual reallity, we were lead to believe that in just a few years we would all have a speceil mask and gloves and could play games and much more in a virtual world. And then nothing happened.

That's too bad.

However, word is that in 2010, we'll get a games console which plugs suction cups to the body. SOme will measure your brain waves. Ergo, If you feel cold or scared, so does the character on screen. Some will sense movement o the muscles. Basically, it's motion sensitive. So whatever you do, the character does.

Honestly, I think that virtual reality may the next step in video gaming. In my opinion Sony is closer to achieving the goal of virtual reality because the PS3 is the most technologically advanced console. But think of it this way, so many people were complaining that the PS3 was too expensive, think of how much a console would cost if it had virtual reality. It probably would cost $1000 dollars or more. To me the PS3 was a bargain, but I say that virtual reality has plenty of more years of development before it becomes used in video games.

I know what your saying. They made us believe that VR would be present for us to use now. But i'm guessing some gaming manufactures are still unaware of the side effects and the advance technology needed. Could you imagine if some body's mind was trapped in Virtual reality? Who would you hold accountable?

Yaa i know what you mean they still just don't have the technology or the will to make advanced virtual reality.

The PS3 should have done virtual reality with mask and gloves instead of there system. The PS3 was a major bust.

I suppose it has to do with the giant leap in technology. It would be like Sony releasing the PS1 and then jumping to the PS3. You can imagine the amount of money they wouldnt have made.

They probably dont see why they should release that yet when they still can just move a small step in the next gen gaming making alot of money on the way
