The biggest problem cleaning windows is using paper towels or cloths. Most have softeners in them that cause streaking, lint and other problems. Newspaper (black & white) will leave them streak free while a product called "Invisible Glass" by the Stoner Co. will remove your hard water spots. It's available at walmart and most auto parts stores. If they're so bad that they still don't come off then the only way is to use a razor blade scraper on them then clean again. Good luck.

This time put toothpaste on a rag, and clean the windows with that. It should cut the film and get rid of the water marks.
