If it's a TrueType font and you do this, she should:

1. Click on the Tools->Options menu item.
2. Click on the Save Tab.
3. Check the "Embed TrueType Fonts" checkbox.
4. Click OK.

How can you tell if it's a TrueType font?

1. Click in a word in the font.
2. Click on the Format->Font menu item.
3. Way down at the bottom of the Font dialog box, under the preview box, there should be a line in teeny-tiny text, as if they're embarrassed to admit it, that says "This is a True Type font."

That should do it. Good luck.

Hello,

No, she won't see the exact same font unless she has it installed on her PC. If it is a free font, she can download and install it. Otherwise it will be displayed using a substitute font.

You could turn your Word document into a PDF file and embed your custom font. This places a copy of the font used inside of the PDF file that allows anyone to view your file with the correct font.
