I have finally found an idea, but I need your oppinion? How does this sound. A teenage girl is blamed for her brothers death and her best friend trusts her and tries to find out the mystery of what really happened. Please tell the truth.

For an idea it sounds alright, but it also sounds like a lot of other novels out there. You could work on the idea and see if it pans out. There are a few things to overcome, such as how does the friend(whom I am guessing is about the same age) solve a crime(one that the police couldn't even find the real suspect) with no training, equipment,etc.
I think it would work better with an older person, not a teenager. Teenagers are very limited with their knowledge of the outside world. They are emotional wrecks most of the time, cannot legally do many thing on their own, etc.

It does sound like a great idea. Of course, you would have to develop your ideas into greater detail. Every story idea begins small...you have to let it unravel and the best thing to do is to literally let your fingers do the "writing". Make sure to not go about the story premeditated. Some of the greatest writers to have ever lived, used this technique. Anne Rice for example claimed that she used to pre-write her stories, now she just lets things flow out naturally. That is the true sign of an artist.

You have a lot of blanks there. Blamed for his death? Murder? Arrested? I know Nancy Drew was a teenager, but you are taking on a lot here having kids investigate a murder.
