i want to look at the issue of sexual violence during war not just as an issue that affects women coz i believe even men are sexually abused and this is particularly in conflict regions.

But in most cases, they are bound - and forced to watch as their wife/kids are ravaged, before being tortured and killed.

Yes, it happens a lot in war. In some cases it is sodomy while in other cases objects are used up the rectum. In other cases the men are castrated or have their penises cut off. Usually it is tying up the male and making him watch as they violate and kill the wifes, daughters and children.
During WW-2, in the concentration camps, the Nazi Germans also also inserted glass rod into the male's penis then smashed the glass, making it very painful for the male to urinate. Also, in the same camps, they experimented on the men using X-rays etc then checking if they are then impotent -- this was often done with twins and triplets (both male and female).

Actually men fall victim to sexual assault far more often in everyday environments let alone war scenarios than any figures show.
The Figures are reflective of the 60's and 70's tabloid days where women would find themselves the object of 'titillating' headlines and as a result didn't report the offences.
The situation is similar amongst men, who are concerned for their anonymity and the potential for ridicule within their community.

I was in Africa in the seventies. We came across some settlers and saw what had been done to them. The Kaffas raped the women and children then bludgeon them to death. The males where tortured and machete forced inside them.
Only one woman was still barely alive. We could do nothing for her. I heard a gunshot, when I turned, she was dead. We caught up with the rebels and gave them what they deserved. The hyenas had a feast that night.
Some guys, prisoner by the Cubans also got sexually tortured.

Check the atrocities attributed to the goumiers (Moroccan soldiers in the French Army) in Italy during WWII. When they went on a rampage no one's integrity was safe. They raped men, women, children and animals. (It is not listed in order of preferences)

Well I don't remember alot of the details..but alot of US soldiers got in trouble for torturing some Iraq citizens..females and males..
it's really disgusting how people can do something like that to another human being..
