My pleco has been shedding for the past 3 days. All i see at the bottom of the tank is black scales. Having taken a closer look at its body, I can see some light spots on its skin where the scales have fallen off. However, it seems very active at night as usual. Im really confused, I dont want to lose my pleco. Any advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Check your ammonia levels right away. If they're not at '0' do a 50% waterchange, and follow up with 25% waterchanges every 3 days until it's at '0'

After that keep up with weekly waterchanges of 25% with gravelsiphon

Hope that helps
Good luck
