What can be done to make this fair? I think all states should vote on the same day. I know that it may mean that candidates ignore certain areas, but I have no better solution. Do you?

Sure, other states can vote later, but the decision will already be made by that time.

I hear what you are saying Mak. Perhaps the candidates should be required to go to some (if not all) of the smaller states. I just want all of our votes to count. I live in PA, and by the time we vote it will be pointless.

I think it's very unfair for the rest of the country. Maybe we should have regional primaries, where every 4 years the regions would rotate, or 5 "mini-super primaries" of 10 states, where every region would have at least 1 state per mini-super primary. Thanks!

Why would voting on the same day and having candidates ignore some states be better than voting on different days and having candidates ignore some states? The fact of the matter is that candidates are concentrating their efforts on states where they can get enough clout to secure the nomination...Montana and Rhode Island are never going to get "blanketed" by presidential candidates no matter what day they have their primaries, and they should be thankful.

I agree. That is why lots of states are moving their primaries up to February. Unfortunately, there are only 4 Tuesdays in February, and if a large number of states are concentrated in a small period of time, candidates will only campaign in the states that give them the most electoral votes.
